Hau has happily worked at Harvest Baking for over 4 years. Prior to Harvest, Hau worked for a jewelry manufacturer in Da Nang where, due to his deaf disability, he was unpaid and had to work for meals. He has become one of our most dedicated and accomplished bakers.

Phuong is a single dad who joined the Harvest Baking team over 3 years ago. Despite his impaired speech, Phuong is incredibly social and enjoys shooting hoops with his friends. Provided the chance, he is not afraid to pursue his right to a normal life, in spite of his disability.

Tuoi was born deaf and comes to Harvest Baking from Soc Trang, a province in the Mekong Delta, after not being able to find work in her hometown. She is one of our youngest staff at 22 years old. She is a quick learner, attentive to detail, and has a bright career ahead of her as a baker.

Long is another one of our deaf bakers. He joined Harvest Baking over 2 years ago when his mom called us after hearing about our mission to hire and train those with disabilities. The bakery has become Long's second home and a place where he finds his friends.

Chien is one of our newest hires. Prior to Harvest Baking, Chien worked the overnight shift at a local bread shop for a below market pay and no days off. When he heard of a job opening at Harvest, he and his wife immediately moved to Saigon. At Harvest, Chien is paid a market salary with proper days off and contributions to his social insurance.

"Uncle" Tam is one of our elders. You may have met him during one of his deliveries. He has a permanent deformity of his left leg, but that does not limit his determination to deliver the goods. At Harvest Baking, if there is a will, there is a way. We treat our disabled staff with dignity and give them a chance to succeed, as long as they have the will.
